Formerly, the ICE-SEAM is a Seminar on Mechanical Engineering Research Cluster which has been held successfully in the UNS at October 10-11, 2009 with more than 200 speakers and over than 400 participants. This biennial seminar event is then raised to international levels with a focus on the advancement of sustainable energy technologies which supported by advanced materials technology.

The past conference addressed the issue of the field in Mechanical Engineering with different points of view from Energy, Material, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, and Design. It is now agreed by scientists, stakeholders, politicians and the general public, which sustainable development cannot be reached with a single and unique solution; however, it can be achieved with a variety of solutions, technologies and choices. Within this conference, the coverage was converged into sustainable energy technologies which supported by advanced materials technologies included conversion, design, modeling, manufacturing, production, engineering, science, design, and so forth with different point of view from engineering, architecture, sciences, social, environment, law, agriculture, economics, and so forth.
